If the only people voting on Super Tuesday were former Democratic presidential candidates, Joe Biden would probably win in a landslide. Beto O'Rourke, who dropped out of the race four months ago, joined more recent ex-candidates Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg in endorsing Biden on Monday, Politico reports. Texas, where O'Rourke almost defeated Ted Cruz in a 2018 Senate race, is one of 14 states voting on Super Tuesday. "I will be casting my ballot for Joe Biden," O'Rourke told the crowd at a Biden event in Dallas. "Let me tell you why: we need somebody who can beat Donald Trump." In his remarks, Biden suggested there may be a role for O'Rourke in his campaign or in his administration, working on gun control efforts, the Guardian reports. Klobuchar also spoke at the Dallas rally.

After Buttigieg and Klobuchar dropped out of the race Monday, Bernie Sanders invited their supporters to join his campaign, the Washington Post reports. "To all of Amy and Pete’s millions of supporters, the door is open, come on in," Sanders said at an event in Minnesota, calling Klobuchar "one of the hardest workers that I know" and praising Buttigieg for a "historic campaign and a brave campaign." He said Biden, however, is "wrong on the issues." Elizabeth Warren addressed supporters in California on Monday night while Mike Bloomberg spoke at an event in Virginia. Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, and Vermont are also holding primaries Tuesday. Some 1,357 delegates, around a third of the total, are at stake. (More Super Tuesday stories.)
