Ruth Bader Ginsburg is in the hospital, but never fear. The Supreme Court justice appears to be doing just fine, and should be released soon, CNBC reports. After participating in oral arguments by phone Monday, she was tested and diagnosed with acute cholecystitis, a benign gall bladder condition, which was brought on by a gallstone that migrated to her cystic duct, blocked it, and caused an infection. The 87-year-old was hospitalized Tuesday, but still participated in telephone arguments that day, and plans to do the same Wednesday, the high court said in a statement Tuesday.
"The Justice is resting comfortably" after "non-surgical treatment," the statement says, and she "plans to participate in the oral argument teleconference tomorrow morning remotely from the hospital. She expects to stay in the hospital for a day or two." Ginsburg has been treated four times for cancer, and was also hospitalized in November with a likely infection.
