By the end of the week, 85% of Starbucks' US stores will reopen—but things will not be the same. As the Washington Post reports, new protocols will focus on things like no-contact order pickups and cashless payments. The coffee chain is also focusing on its mobile app, which will feature new options for curbside pickup and voice ordering, and expects most payments will be made via the mobile app rather than with cash. Masks and gloves will be provided to employees, whose temperatures will also be taken before they start their shifts, and enhanced cleaning and sanitation procedures will be carried out. Starbucks temporarily closed about half of its US stores in March, though drive-through service was still available, per Fox News. (More Starbucks stories.)
