The 75-year-old Buffalo protester shoved to the ground by police was released from the hospital Tuesday, the Democrat & Chronicle reports. Martin Gugino, who suffered a skull fracture and brain injury in the June 4 incident, will continue his recovery in an undisclosed location to protect his privacy, WKBW reports. "Martin wants to thank the entire hospital staff for their exceptional dedication and professionalism," his attorney says. "He received truly outstanding care and for that, he is grateful." The lawyer adds that Gugino "looks great" and is expected to continue improving with rest. The officers allegedly involved have been suspended from the force and are facing assault charges.
