Human remains have been found in the search for Vanessa Guillen, the 20-year-old soldier missing from Fort Hood. The partial set of remains has not been identified, NBC News reports. Guillen was last seen in a parking lot at the Army post April 22, and investigators believe foul play was involved in her disappearance. They were searching an "area of interest" near the Leon River in Bell County when the remains were found off a rural two-lane highway about 30 minutes from Fort Hood, buried in a shallow grave. A tip had previously led them to the same area. KHOU reports a civilian was also involved, having notified authorities of a foul odor he noticed while doing ranch work. The head of Texas Equusearch says the search for Guillen has been called off while they wait for the remains to be identified. (More Vanessa Guillen stories.)
