A 19-year-old Swiss motorcycle rider died Sunday after a horrific crash Saturday at a qualifying session for the Italian Grand Prix at the Mugello Circuit. Jason Dupasquier, a Moto3 rider, was in his second season with the Moto3 World Championship's lightweight class and was ranked 12th in the standings, CNN reports. "Dupasquier was involved in a multi-rider incident between Turns 9 and 10, with the session Red Flagged thereafter," MotoGP said in a statement. Per the Guardian, Dupasquier fell from his bike and was then hit by another. The Drive says three bikes were involved, and the other two riders were not seriously hurt. Jalopnik reports that Dupasquier, the son of a MotoCross rider, started racing in 2011. (More motorcycle stories.)
