At 48, Hilary Swank is happy to announce she'll become a first-time mom. "And not just of one but of two," the two-time Academy Award winner announced Wednesday on Good Morning America. "I can't believe it." Swank, who is married to 45-year-old social venture entrepreneur Philip Schneider, said becoming a mom "is something I’ve been wanting for a long time." "It's double the excitement," she said in repeating the announcement later on Live with Kelly and Ryan, per the Sun.
Swank noted twins run in her family and Schneider's, per People. “It's such a blessing. It's a total miracle," she continued. She added those on the set of the new drama Alaska Daily, in which Swank plays a reporter on the case of missing and murdered indigenous woman, were unaware of her pregnancy "until now." The secret apparently couldn't be kept much longer as Swank noted she recently had to cut her jeans open on set. The show, inspired by a true story, premieres Thursday on ABC.
