Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis have had a very contentious, and very public, split—but now the former couple has come together publicly to push back on a story their former nanny is airing. In a joint statement, Wilde and Sudeikis say the unnamed nanny, who says she worked with their family for three years, is lying in her rendition of how their relationship ended, which they call "false and scurrilous," CNN reports. The woman went to British tabloid the Daily Mail to claim that Wilde, who has said her relationship with Harry Styles began after her relationship with Sudeikis ended, actually started dating Styles while she was still with Sudeikis, and that Sudeikis was blindsided by her leaving him, USA Today reports.

The nanny claims that in one particularly dramatic moment, Wilde made a salad with her "special dressing" (Vulture ponders what that could possibly be in an amusing piece here) and as she was leaving to take it to Styles, a distraught Sudeikis chased her and threw himself under the car so she wouldn't drive away, Page Six reports. The nanny also, according to Page Six, claims she was fired and not given severance pay, though a source says the nanny actually resigned. The nanny's "now 18 month long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex," Wilde and Sudeikis say in their statement. "We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone." (More Olivia Wilde stories.)
