Takeoff will get quite the sendoff. A funeral for the rapper, who was shot dead at a Houston bowling alley a week ago, will be held Friday at Atlanta's State Farm Arena, home to the NBA's Atlanta Hawks, which can hold some 20,000 people, TMZ reports. Kirshnik Khari Ball was born in the Atlanta suburb of Lawrenceville, where he got the nickname Takeoff for his ability to record a verse in a single take, per the Guardian. Rev. Jesse Curney III of New Mercies Christian Church in Lilburn, Ga., who'll officiate the service beginning at 1pm ET, said in a statement cited by TMZ that the youngest member of the trio Migos "has been a faithful member since he was 10 years old. He and his family were active and avid supporters of the church and the community as a whole."

Takeoff had a reputation for being "the most chill" member of the group, Justin "Meezy" Williams, manager of rapper 21 Savage, tells the Guardian. Also the youngest alongside his uncle Quavo and Quavo's cousin Offset, he shied away from the spotlight. "I might run into Offset or Quavo at a bowling alley, just chilling or having fun," says Williams. "If Takeoff wasn't working, me personally, I'd never really seen him." Takeoff and Quavo were reportedly playing dice at the bowling alley when someone opened fire early on Nov. 1. Police have yet to name a suspect. Takeoff was shot in the head and torso. It's not clear if his funeral will be open to the public, per the Los Angeles Times. It adds that the rapper Drake has postponed a show in New York City so he can attend. (More rapper stories.)
