If your tired brain at the end of this workweek forgot to remind you to buy a Mega Millions ticket for Friday's drawing, no worries—you've got another chance to try to win the massive jackpot. USA Today reports there was no winner last night for the $940 million prize, meaning the pot for Tuesday has now jumped to about $1.1 billion, the game's third largest ever. CNN notes there have been 24 drawings since the jackpot was last claimed on Oct. 14. If someone wins big on Tuesday—with odds of 302,575,350 to 1 for the top prize—they'll have to choose an annuity spread out over 29 years to claim the $1 billion-plus. If they pick the cash option, they'll walk away with an estimated $568.7 million. There's still a chance you may have won a smaller prize in Friday's drawing: The numbers were 3-20-46-59-63, with the Mega Ball rolling in at 13.

Lottery players whose numbers didn't hit or who forgot to even buy a ticket will have another shot at a nearly $1 billion Mega Millions prize when a drawing is held Friday night. The estimated $940 million jackpot has been growing for more than two months and now ranks as the sixth-largest in US history. Even as the prize grows larger, the odds of winning remain the same, at one in 302.6 million, the AP reports.
The $940 million jackpot is for winners who choose an annuity, paid annually over 29 years. Winners usually want the cash option, which for Friday night's drawing would be an estimated $483.5 million. If there is no winner, the next drawing will be held Tuesday night. Mega Millions is played in 45 states as well as in Washington, DC, and the US Virgin Islands.
