In just a year, Bailey Hanks has gone from sorority girl to reality TV star to Broadway star. The 20-year-old preacher’s daughter from South Carolina beat out nine other hopefuls on MTV’s Legally Blonde the Musical: The Search for Elle Woods and made her stage debut on Wednesday, ABC News reports.

“Everything happened so fast I didn’t have time to be nervous,” said Hanks. “I just have butterflies—excited butterflies. I’m in a dream world.” (More Broadway stories.)
