Accomplice Helping Cops in Kidnap Case

As more details emerge about the man thought to have kidnapped his 7-year-old daughter in Boston on Sunday, police said today the driver of the SUV used in the abduction is cooperating with the investigation, the Globe reports. Police believe Clark Rockefeller—one of several names the man uses—and Reigh Storrow Boss could be aboard his yacht and headed for Bermuda or Peru.

Rockefeller used trumped-up ties to the famous family to build a life in high society in New York and Boston, the Post reports, with acquaintances describing him as civic-minded, if reserved. That runs counter to the kidnap attempt, during which Rockefeller shoved aside the social worker supervising the visit with his daughter and jumped in the SUV—with the worker still hanging on.
