Missing Girl's Dad Bought Gold

The wealthy businessman accused of abducting his 7-year-old daughter has apparently exchanged cash for gold as part of his elaborate kidnapping plot, reports the Boston Globe. Clark Rockefeller, a man with a mystery history who lied about his connections to the Rockefeller family, can use the gold anywhere in the world as he flees with his daughter, Reigh, police said.

Rockefeller is in the midst of a bitter divorce. He reportedly told friends he recently paid gold for a yacht, but detectives believe the story may have been an attempt to throw them off his trail. A woman who drove the pair from to New York from Boston said Reigh appeared  happy. "She was saying, 'I love you too much Daddy,' and he would respond: 'I love you even more,'" she said.
