Frances Bean Cobain has tied the knot again, this time opting to partner with a skateboarder rather than a rock star. The 31-year-old daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Hole frontwoman Courtney Love married 30-year-old Riley Hawk, the oldest of legendary professional skateboarder Tony Hawk's three sons, in Los Angeles on Oct. 7, reports TMZ, which obtained the San Diego County marriage license. It names the officiant as former REM frontman Michael Stipe, Frances' godfather and a good friend and one-time neighbor of Kurt Cobain and Love.
Frances and Riley have been together since at least January 2021, according to TMZ. This is the first marriage for Hawk and second for Cobain, a visual artist and model, who split from her first husband, The Eeries frontman Isaiah Silva, in 2016 after just 21 months of marriage. It's more likely there will be a prenuptial agreement involved this time. Cobain and Silva didn't sign one, and Page Six reports he ended up nabbing one of Kurt Cobain's guitars, which he subsequently sold for $6 million. (More celebrity wedding stories.)
