Economist Intelligence Unit ranks Denmark's Copenhagen as No. 1

The most livable city in the world is now the second most livable city in the world, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit's annual ranking. According to the EIU's Global Liveability Index for 2025, Copenhagen is at the top of its list, beating out last year's winner, the Austrian capital of Vienna. The Danish capital achieved perfect scores of 100 in the "stability," "infrastructure," and "education" categories. The Hill notes that no US cities made the top 10; Honolulu comes in at No. 23, with Atlanta close behind at No. 29. The 10 most livable cities worldwide:
