With the sudden death of celebrity chef Anne Burrell on Tuesday, Bobby Flay offered up a tip of the hat to his co-host on Worst Cooks in America, reports People. "Worst Cooks in America was the funnest show on TV. All of your co-hosts (me included) were just alongside for the Anne Burrell ride," he wrote on Instagram with a photo of Burrell and two huge cats. Besides appearing on the show together, Burrell and Flay apparently shared a little kitty obsession. Flay continued: "The greatest gift I got from AB was turning me on to a world of Maine Coon Cats (including Nacho) ... a gift that I'll have forever."
Rachael Ray, who served as a bridesmaid at Burrell's 2021 wedding to Stuart Claxton, also chimed in, saying on Instagram: "I can't quite believe it—such a strong, vibrant, fearless woman, so full of life and love, could be gone so soon. ... I'll miss her friendship deeply. Everyone whose life she touched will miss her. Sending love to Stuart and everyone who knew and loved Anne. We've lost someone truly special." TMZ reports that Burrell was found in the shower by Claxton, who called 911 on Tuesday morning. A cause of death hasn't been determined, but cardiac arrest is suspected. (More Bobby Flay stories.)
