Melrose Place star Courtney Thorne-Smith has filed for divorce after 18 years of marriage, though she has been separated from Roger Fishman for years. According to a divorce filing in Los Angeles Superior Court last week, the couple, who have a 17-year-old son, have been separated since September 2021, People reports. According to the filing, which cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, Thorne-Smith, 57, is seeking joint custody of their son.
The filing states that neither parent is seeking child support or spousal support. Fishman, a wildlife photographer and videographer, was working as an agent when he married Thorne-Smith on New Year's Day, 2007. Thorne-Smith played Alison Parker on Melrose Place from 1992 to 1997. After leaving the series, which ended in 1999, she had roles on shows including According to Jim, Ally McBeal, and Two and a Half Men, reports Entertainment Weekly.
