Malcolm-Jamal Warner drowned off the coast of Costa Rica while on a family vacation, reports ABC News. Police say he got caught in a strong current at a beach in Limon. Warner played the son of Claire and Heathcliff Huxtable—played by Phylicia Rashad and Bill Cosby—on the show from 1984 to 1992. Warner was nominated for an Emmy for best supporting actor for his work on the show, and he later starred in the sitcoms Malcolm & Eddie on UPN and Reed Between the Lines on BET, per Variety.
