Amanda Knox saw her one-time boyfriend in an Italian court today for the first time since they were arrested on suspicion of killing her British roommate, reports the Telegraph. The pair can’t write each other, but Raffaelo Sollecito sent the 21-year-old American flowers on her July birthday. They met at the trial for Rudy Guede, the third person prosecutors have accused of the murder.
The prosecution is using character witnesses, a forensic expert, and a witness placing Guede at the scene to prove his involvement in murdering Meredith Kercher in what they saw was a drug-fueled sex game gone awry. Guede, who maintains his innocence, admits being in the house the fateful night, but says he came out of a bathroom and saw a man fleeing Kercher's room with a knife. (More Amanda Knox stories.)
