Paltrow Lends Ear, Support to Material Divorcee-to-Be

Madonna's marriage may be over, but at least she can lean on pal Gwyneth Paltrow. At a London premiere yesterday, Paltrow called Madge a “dear friend,” Us Magazine reports. “I’m supporting her in all (the) ways that I can,” she said said of the singer, who announced her split from British director Guy Ritchie last week after 7 years of marriage.

“I speak to her a lot,” Paltrow said of Madonna, currently on tour. “I'm just here for her. I'm just here on the other end of the phone, really.”
