Woman Charged With Buff Bartending

Lowered inhibitions aren’t uncommon in bars, but one in suburban St. Louis has been having trouble keeping its female bartenders clothed, the Alton (Ill.) Telegraph reports. Something strange is going on around Alton, where Jamie Day, 24, was charged Friday with bartending in the nude—the area’s second such arrest in about a month.

On Sept. 18, a 33-year-old woman in nearby rural Jersey County was also arrested for tending bar in the buff, when deputies stopped by for a routine check. She was charged with public indecency, and the tavern’s liquor license was suspended. Day, meanwhile, now faces misdemeanor lewd entertainment charges. Alton’s mayor has yet to decide the bar’s fate.
