Hollywood has some new crossover acts you couldn’t take home to mama, the Los Angeles Times reports. Porn stars are suddenly making it mainstream after years relegated to the cultural sidelines. Hardcore veteran Sasha Grey, for example, will headline Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming film The Girlfriend Experience, while Traci Lords lends her talents to Zach and Miri Make a Porno.

Many adult stars no longer even feel compelled to use pseudonyms, because porn has become culturally acceptable. Jenna Jameson is a household name, and video games and music videos frequently contain explicit bumping and grinding. Paris Hilton’s sex tape didn’t end her career, it started it. “That changed everything,” says Soderbergh. “Or it didn’t change everything; it confirmed that everything had changed.” (More pornography stories.)
