Pitt, Jolie Split—for Work; Baby Twins Get 'Smiley'

Work has Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie separated, but just temporarily, the New York Post reports. Pitt has been in New York for movie work and in Chicago for Barack Obama’s election-night festivities and a sitdown with Oprah Winfrey. Jolie, meanwhile, was promoting the DVD release of Kung Fu Panda in Hollywood, where she told People the pair’s 4-month-old twins are “starting to get very smiley.”

“They're at that [stage] where their personality really starts to shine,” the mom of six gushed of Knox and Vivienne. Said a Hollywood insider of the distance between Pitt and Jolie: “They’ve never really been apart since they met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, so it’s odd.” (More Brad Pitt stories.)
