Two More Docs Charged in UK Bomb Plot

Two more Indian-born doctors have been formally charged with contributing to last month's UK car-bomb plot. A doctor living in Australia appeared in a Brisbane court today, accused of providing “reckless” support to the suspected terrorists, hours before British police charged a Liverpool resident with failing to alert authorities to the plot, Reuters reports.

Mohammed Haneef, 27, was one of six Indian doctors questioned in Australia, and the only one charged. After departing Britain in 2006, he left behind his cellphone SIM card, which one of the suspects later used. Sabeel Ahmed, 26, is Haneef's second cousin and the brother of the suspect hospitalized in Scotland. He'll appear in court Monday, the BBC reports. (More Britain stories.)
