Who Gets This Vote? You Decide

With the recount under way in the Minnesota Senate race, both sides are challenging ballots left and right. Minnesota Public Radio presents examples of some of the disputed ballots on its web site—circles not filled in, unclear notes, thumbprints, etc.—and asks viewers to weigh in. (Click on the link.) In the overall recount, meanwhile, Norm Coleman still leads Al Franken by fewer than 200 votes, but there's still a long way to go.

So far, Coleman has been the more aggressive challenger, with 240 to Franken's 172. "To make clear, this behavior is perfectly above-board and 100 percent within Coleman's rights," writes Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight.com. "But the Franken campaign should make sure it understands the incentives here, and perhaps do away with some of that Minnesota nice." (More Al Franken stories.)
