Sex Can Cause Sneezing: Study
Sneezing and sex could be linked in some people, a new study suggests.   (Shutterstock)

Sexual thoughts cause some people to have fits of sneezing, the Guardian reports. Psychiatrists at a British hospital were turned on to the problem by a patient, and a survey of Internet chat rooms found others afflicted, including three people who sneezed after orgasm.

Faulty wiring in the autonomic nervous system may be behind the link between sneezes and sex. The autonomic nervous system controls unconscious functions like digestion and the beating of the heart. “It may also be seen as embarrassing and people perhaps don’t want to talk about it,” theorized one doctor.
