As she campaigns for Hillary Clinton’s Senate seat, Caroline Kennedy is finally opening up about some of her political stances. In a questionnaire provided by Politico, the 51-year-old expressed support for gay marriage, which Barack Obama opposes, and says she opposed the Iraq war from the get-go, unlike Hillary Clinton. Kennedy declined to comment when asked whether she'd support whichever Democrat runs against Michael Bloomberg, a big supporter.

In another questionnaire from the New York Times, Kennedy generally hued to the Democratic line, opposing restrictions on abortion and supporting gun control and the Detroit bailout. She declined to say whether she'd back a cap on local property taxes in New York, a controversial issue in Albany. Both the Times and Politico note that Kennedy's written answers were brief and often vague.
