DJ AM filed a lawsuit blaming the pilots and faulty equipment for the September plane crash in which he was severely burned, making him the final passenger on the plane to seek restitution, People reports. His suit names the estates of the pilots, who died in the crash, the charter company, and manufacturers of the equipment as defendants. Two passengers were also killed in the crash.

"The pilots were either poorly trained and/or failed to follow their training," says the lawsuit, in which DJ AM alleges that the two pilots negligently aborted the takeoff, causing the plane to overrun the runway and crash. The suit also charges that the plane was "defective, not fit for its intended purposes, and unreasonably dangerous." (More DJ AM stories.)
