Faith in statistics, confidence in his offense and an ingrained dislike of punting were the perfect storm for one high school football coach in Arkansas, RivalsHigh reports, with Kevin Kelley taking Little Rock’s Pulaski Academy to a state title without a single punt. “You can just tell people are in the stands thinking, ‘You're an idiot,’” says Kelley, whose Bruins finished 13-1.

Kelley even goes for it on fourth down when the Bruins are inside their own 10-yard line, since statistics have shown that opponents score 90% of the time in such situations and 77% of the time if they start at about the 38. “It’s a really fun offense,” says quarterback Spencer Keith, who threw for a state-record 5,308 yards this season. “I wouldn’t change it for anything.” (More Pulaski Academy stories.)
