With his high school team down big in the fourth quarter of the championship game, quarterback Tim Tebow begged his coach to use him as a defensive lineman. He sprinted screaming onto the field, led the team to victory, and hasn’t stopped winning—or screaming—since. The intense Tebow’s resume is already impressive, and if Florida wins the BCS title game tonight, he’ll secure a place among the legends of college football, says the Miami Herald.

That resume: National title in 2006, Heisman Trophy in 2007, conference title in 2008. But in 2006 Tebow was a backup. “Now my job is to lead the team,” he says, “and it’s a lot different.” “Different” is one way to describe Tebow’s leadership style. Last week, on a routine option pitch in practice, he chased his running back down the field, screaming, trying to fire up the team for tonight's bout. "Tebow needs medicine," joked one lineman.
