John Mayer has bought an engagement ring for Jennifer Aniston, Star magazine reports. The singer is having it custom-made and plans to give it to her for her birthday next month. Meanwhile, Mayer also is working with CBS to develop a variety show, though it's still unclear whether it's a one-time thing or a regular gig.
