Community seems fascinated with correspondent, if somewhat secretly

Cher, Barbra Streisand, Madonna … and NBC correspondent Andrea Mitchell? Yes, John Koblin and Zachary Woolfe write in the New York Observer, Mrs. Alan Greenspan is an icon to gay men, if not as celebrated. “She’s the Golden Girls rolled into one,” one fan says: “The body of Sophia, the sassiness of Dorothy and probably a sex kitten like Blanche, and most likely from the Midwest, like Rose.”

“And there is something about that marriage with Big Old Daddy Alan, too,” Koblin and Woolfe write. “Isn’t there something a bit Maria Callas and Aristotle Onassis about them? You know, the beautifully aging diva shacking up with the powerful older man, and falling madly in love. It’s the height of gay camp!”
