Lay Off, Cupid: Men Need Their Own Holiday
"The truth is there are more guy-giving than guy-receiving days in the year," Chuck Cohen writes.   (Shutter Stock)

If men had time to catch their collective breath after racing around town to find the right Valentine’s Day gift they would realize they’re getting the short end of Cupid’s arrow, Chuck Cohen rants in the Christian Science Monitor. “The truth is there are more guy-giving than guy-receiving days in the year,” Cohen declares. Solution: a new holiday called Guy Day.

From bridal showers (note the lack of groom showers) to Mother’s Day (which outranks Father's Day by a mile), men just can’t win. Even the once guys-only Super Bowl is now just another inclusive party. Cohen's new Guy Day would be "a day when women worry about getting the 'right' present—a day, above all, without hearing one song by ABBA."
