Governator: Obama Needs 'Team Players'

Arnold Schwarzenegger is urging politicians of all political stripes to line up behind President Obama. “I feel very strongly that President Obama right now needs team players,” the California governor told ABC’s This Week, noting that partisan wrangling creates “insecurity.” Schwarzenegger also called his fellow Republicans out of touch on everyday issues. Governors dominated the Sunday morning airwaves:

• Florida’s Charlie Crist, who’s taken some heat from fellow Republicans for backing Obama’s stimulus plan, says he’s willing to give the new president “a shot.”
• But Haley Barbour suggested he wouldn’t accept all of the money headed toward Mississippi. “We want more jobs,” he told CNN. “You don't get more jobs by putting an extra tax on creating jobs.”
• South Carolina's Mark Sanford, Minnesota's Tim Pawlenty, and Lousiana's Bobby Jindal all refused to rule out a run for the White House in 2012.
• But Washington didn't forget about Roland Burris: Mitch McConnell told CNN's State of the Union he wants a quick recommendation from the Senate ethics committee about the beleaguered Illinois senator.
