Citigroup’s new chief, Richard Parsons, dropped by the White House last night, Politico reports, visiting Valerie Jarrett, an adviser and longtime confidante to President Obama. “He was here to meet with Valerie—something she often does with business leaders,” explained an official. Still, the visit fueled more speculation about government plans to buy up a huge stake in the struggling bank. (More Richard Parsons stories.)
