Post-White House life is decidedly less hectic for the Bushes—so much so that Laura “totally forgot” to watch President Obama’s address to Congress, People reports. “It came and went and I didn't even think about it,” the former first lady said in an interview with ABC News. She also discussed other details of their new, slower-paced civilian life.

“We don't have a kitchen table or a dining room table,” she said, noting they are still settling in to their new Texas digs. “The other night I had 16 people for dinner and I had to borrow chairs from the Secret Service next door.”
