Millions of angry drivers will be reduced to stunned silence if Los Angeles County passes No Cussing Week, the AP reports. The expected announcement from the county board of supervisors next week follows a campaign by 15-year-old McKay Hatch, who started a club against swearing. "It's not about forcing anyone to stop, just to bring awareness," he said. Hatch is not allowed to curse at home.
"Next year I want to try to get California to have a cuss-free week. And then, who knows, maybe worldwide," said Hatch, who has been harassed by organized pro-cussers. Although swearing won’t land anyone in legal trouble, No Cussing Week is “a good reminder for all of us, not just young people but everybody, to be respectful to one another,” a county spokesman said.
