The parents of an Ohio teen who killed himself after a bully suggested he do so have sued his former school. Teachers let other boys tease Eric Mohat, call him homophobic slurs, and shove him around without recourse, charge William and Janis Mohat, who want the school to recognize the 2007 death as a “bullicide” and institute anti-bullying measures, ABC News reports.

“What it boils down to is the football players, cheerleaders, and kids with money have a different set of rules,” says a parent who withdrew his suicidal son from the same school. “The school is more interested in sweeping it under the rug.” The Mohats say three other children died the same year as Eric as a result of bullying, a charge the school denies.
