Confidantes of Jiverly Wong weren’t shocked by his murder of 13 people at a New York immigrant services center, saying he was was enraged by humiliation he suffered as a result of his broken English and recent firing, reports Reuters. “From the people close to him, this action he took was not a surprise,” said the police chief of Binghamton, NY.

Authorities still haven’t established a motive for the massacre, which is the nation’s worst since the 2007 shootings at Virginia Tech. But one co-worker said the Vietnamese immigrant angrily told him, “America sucks,” AP reports. Binghamton authorities haven't yet released the names of the victims.
