Should she or shouldn't she? Susan Boyle's new fans can't help debating whether the 47-year-old singer who wowed the world in her performance on Britain's Got Talent last weekend should shed the frumpy style that made her sensational voice so surprising. She "needs to stay exactly as she is because that's the reason we love her," says judge Amanda Holden, who the Trib notes is a blond beauty. "She just looks like anybody who could live on your street. The minute we turn her into a glamor-puss is when it's spoiled."
Added Jerry Springer, former host of America's Got Talent, on a CBS This Morning panel on the topic, "I think if you try to glam her up and make her look, you know, as much Hollywood as you can, then she's just another singer." Still, the Trib shares some virtual makeover possibilities for Boyle's frizzy curls, which she told the Mirror she was teased about as a kid, and had done especially for the show.
