Mother Gains Notoriety After Kicking Kids to the Curb

The quiet suburban life of Madlyn Primoff—a mother of two who litigated international financial disputes for a Park Avenue law firm—has come undone in a wash of publicity, the Journal News reports, after her kids’ bickering proved too annoying in downtown White Plains last weekend. In a bit of tough love, Primoff, 45, kicked her daughters, aged 10 and 12, from her car, leaving them alone on the street.

The 12-year-old caught up with the car and was let back in, but the 10-year-old was found by a pedestrian and turned over to police. After a night in jail, Primoff faces a charge of endangering a child, and media from around the globe have taken notice, running her unflattering mug shot and headlines like the Huffington Posts’s “The Branding of a Bad Mommy.” (More moms stories.)
