Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker are expecting twin girls this summer via a surrogate mother, reports E! Online. The couple—Broderick is 47, Parker 44—have a 6-year-old son and have been trying unsuccessfully for another child. "They could have kept trying on their own," says a friend, "but they've always wanted to have more children and felt this was the best way to go."

The celebrity couple "are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate," said a statement from their publicist. "The entire family is overjoyed." Apparently, those rumors of a breakup a while back were a bit overstated. (More Sarah Jessica Parker stories.)
