Christian Bale began his inevitable “I’m sorry for my rant” publicity tour today on Good Morning America. The actor was ostensibly there to discuss Terminator Salvation, but the question about his videotaped diatribe against a crewmember reared its inevitable head. When asked if he has an anger problem, Bale passed it off on his character: “Certainly John Connor has an anger problem,” but called the incident “unfortunate and inexcusable.”

“The whole incident was something which absolutely I regret, but we were resolved within 30 seconds,” he said. “We’re looking at four minutes of a 77-day shoot and the rest of the time was real smooth sailing. You ask any crewmember from that movie and they’ll say, absolutely, people got along really well.” (More Christian Bale stories.)
