Michael Vick will work with the Humane Society to spread the message against dog fighting when he gets out of prison, reports CNN. Details are still to be worked out, but Vick is expected to work on programs designed to keep youths away from the practice and to help those convicted. Vick's sentence is up in July, but he's expected to be released in May or June to serve out his final weeks at home.

Upon his release, Vick will work for a construction firm in Newport News, Va., his lawyers say. But he's still holding out hope of returning to the NFL, possibly as early as September, if the league allows. The one-time quarterback, who's now in bankruptcy court, also has agreed to participate in a documentary for $600,000.
