Rudy Giuliani's son Andrew got a bad break in his lawsuit against the Duke golf team—the judge is a Caddyshack fan. The magistrate recommended that Giuliani's suit—he says he got kicked off the team unjustly—be dismissed, and he did so in a ruling filled with golf jokes and a reference to Bill Murray's legendary character in the movie, the Smoking Gun reports.

Giuliani's argument "brings to mind Carl Spackler's analysis" from Caddyshack, writes Judge Wallace Dixon. "He's on his final hole. He's about 455 yards away, he's gonna hit about a 2 iron, I think." (This would not be a good club choice.) Elsewhere: "Plaintiff attempts to take a mulligan with this argument; however, this shot also lands in the drink." The ruling will now be reviewed by a US District Court judge and likely adopted. Giuliani, meanwhile, graduated this month and is a pro golfer, notes the Daily News.
