The defense lost safety Will Demps to a dislocated elbow and cornerback Sam Madison to a pulled hamstring. Wideout Steve Smith left with a concussion and Michael Jennings was felled by a ruptured Achilles' tendon. Giants quarterback Eli Manning was unscathed though unremarkable, completing 10 passes and the game's only touchdown. Heavy penalties stymied both offenses, and the game became a kickers' duel.
