Celebrity | Carrie Prejean Pageant Pushed Playboy: Prejean But nasty e-mails make Carrie seem like the one at fault By Evann Gastaldo Posted Jun 11, 2009 8:57 AM CDT Copied In this April 26, 2009 file photo, Miss California USA Carrie Prejean listens to a question at the Rock Church during services in San Diego. (AP Photo/Denis Poroy, File) Accusations are flying between Carrie Prejean and Miss California pageant officials, TMZ reports. The dethroned winner says a pageant exec tried to force her to appear semi-nude in Playboy; Keith Lewis says he was honoring her wish that he pass along offers before declining them. The high-profile gay-marriage opponent also called the whole flap “a political debate” and denied treating pageant staff badly. Not so, a source tells Fox: “Once Carrie got all she needed from the sponsors, she told them off and said she didn't need or want their help anymore.” Tense emails between Prejean and Lewis followed as Prejean made a series of unauthorized appearances, the source added, and she would “run to Donald Trump immediately if she didn’t get her way.” To see the email transcripts, click the link below.
