Coroner's Staff Improperly Viewed Jackson Documents

Poor Michael. Even in death, he can't catch a break on privacy. Staffers at the Los Angeles coroner's office looked up the pop star's death certificate hundreds of times and even printed out copies, reports the Los Angeles Times. The office also found possible security breaches in two other computer systems that held information on the investigation into Jackson's death.

"There's only one person in the investigation of Mr. Jackson who needed to have a copy of the death certificate, and that was the investigator," said a coroner's official. The document, however, had been viewed 300 times within two weeks of Jackson's death. The sneak peeks apparently violate no laws, so officials are dealing with it internally. They also found and plugged holes in computer systems with more sensitive information, but it's not clear if any was compromised. (More Michael Jackson stories.)
