Owen Wilson is in good condition after being hospitalized following an alleged suicide attempt. Wilson’s family found the Wedding Crashers star yesterday after he reportedly slit his wrist and took an unknown number of pills, the Post reports. Wilson issued a statement asking that the media allow him to “heal in private during this difficult time.”

A police car, fire truck and ambulance pulled up to the actor’s house around noon yesterday, a neighbor said. Wilson was admitted to the hospital, and his condition was initially reported as serious. The 38-year-old actor is also an Academy Award-nominated screenwriter, for The Royal Tenenbaums (2002).
