A Cubs fan suspected of dousing Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino with beer at Wrigley Field Wednesday night has turned himself in to police, the Chicago Tribune reports. The fan—who escaped detection when the wrong fan was ejected and hauled off for questioning immediately after the incident—got in touch with police after his photo was splashed all over the Internet and TV news.

Victorino was soaked after a cup of beer was thrown from the bleachers as he went for a fly ball. He made the catch anyway and the Phillies went on to win 12-5. "For me, it's part of the game. It's one of those things that happens. I just want to make sure he gets what's due," Victorino said later. The fan has been charged with two misdemeanors. "I'd like to apologize to Shane Victorino. It really was nothing against him," he said after being released on bond. "The Chicago Cubs, I'm sorry I disgraced you." (More Shane Victorino stories.)
